Took A Walk

I left the fishing rods at home, and opted to take a walk around the forest preserve down the street from my home. I recently borrowed my friends DSLR Nikon and decided that it should come to.

Poor little guy had an injured back leg. I wonder what he escaped from...hawk..owl...coyote...
Cool silhouette shot of a bird in flight.
Who doesn't like a sunset shot. Very happy with the lighting on this one.
Sunset on the Soob.
Way better than watching TV. You'll never know what's around the bend, unless you get out there....or use Google maps.

    1. I have always had a love, and knack for photography. I've just made due with the cameras, and phones I've had. I always love when my buddy lets me borrow his DSLR. Just like, Howard, it's going to be my next big purchase. Can't wait!

  2. Don't listen to Nick! Some seriously nice photographs, especially the sunset. A DSLR will be my next expensive purchase.

    1. Thanks, Howard! A DSLR is going to be my next big purchase, as well. Photography or trying to take pictures is right up there with fishing for me.

  3. Sometimes leaving the fishing gear home and taking in all that is outdoors is a magnificent way to go. You just proved that! Being on an Ol' Geezers budget, I think I will wait for Howard to buy the DSLR and I will borrow it from him....................................................................................

    1. Indeed, Mel! I will have to take a walk more often. It was rather refreshing.

Haha those cameras are expensive, and it's nice to know someone you can borrow from ,when it's needed.

  4. Great shots. I don't know why but I haven't been taking many pictures with my DSLR lately. I guess it's because it's so lunky to carry around.

    1. Thanks, Kevin!
They definitely are bulky, and I wouldn't bother to carry it on a trip like some. It's either the fishing gear or the camera. I cannot handle both.

    1. I actually still have it. Haha I know I'll have to give it back soon, though. Thumbs down to that! I know I can borrow it whenever. I have an awesome friend.
