GoPro Hero 3

I finally got around to playing with some video I took to test out my GoPro Hero 3 camera. Here is just a test video I made with some video, and still shots. I edited this on my iPad 2 using iMovie. (I need a new laptop/desktop...they're outdated, and not capable of playing the videos from this camera.)

(Mind you - I threw this video together in 20 minutes.)

Also, has anyone else had a problem with their GoPro and 64gb class 10 micro SD card????

I just sent an email to ScanDisk about the GoPro possibly frying my card. I've read numerous forums about this subject, and there seems to be quite a bit of people out there experiencing this. I am hopeful that they will send me a new one. (I've read they will replace it....I should start looking for a different brand if it continues.)

    Cool video! Which edition GoPro are you using? I have been looking at getting one and can't decide on the silver or black edition. Any thoughts?

      Thanks, I was just testing out the program on my ipad. I am using the GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition. It's an awesome camera! Even for still shots. One of my favorite features is the 30 shot burst. That's how I captured that casting picture with my rod bent. I just cropped the top and bottom of the photo off, and it gave it the panoramic look.

      For such a powerful device, it's amazingly small.

      My 64GB sd card was fried recently. (Don't know the source of the issue, card or camera, but I've read a number of people have had this problem occur, and Scan Disk has replaced their cards.)

      If you're into making videos this is definitely the camera you want. The accessories make this camera so much fun. The suction cup is awesome, and it's damn strong. I drove down Higgins with it by Busse, and I was worried at first, but it didn't budge. (I had my gf watch the video stream to the android app)

      Sorry for the long reply haha, but like I said, if you're into making videos, it's well worth it. It takes awesome still shots, as well.

      Note: If you want your videos to have live sound of what you're shooting, you'll have to remove the waterproof case. It muffs the audio.

      Thanks for the info. I was surfin around on the gopro website and saw that a lot of people where having a ton of problems with the black edition. I like the 30 shot burst, time lapse function, and the overall quality of the still images. I have a nice cannon video camera with a shotgun mic, wireless mic, and a bunch of other goodies on it. I want to get the gopro more for a point of view camera angle, and doing time lapses. I think I will go with the black edition. Thanks again for the info.
